FAQ

NorthSafety offers exciting roles in sales, support, and marketing. Here, we have gathered the most common questions you may have about what it is like to work with us, the practical aspects of moving to Thailand, and what everyday life will be like on your new adventure in Thailand.

Working at NorthSafety and employment requirements

1. What does the job involve, and what tasks can I expect?

At NorthSafety, we offer a range of roles, from customer service and support to appointment setting and sales.

You can read more about the different job opportunities on our jobs page here: Jobs in Thailand

2. What are the employment requirements?

To join NorthSafety, you must:

• Be at least 22 years old before departure.
• Speak and understand Danish fluently.
• Be reliable and ready for new challenges.
• Be able to commit at least 6 months to your adventure abroad.

3. How does the salary and commission structure work?

Your salary depends on your qualifications and experience. Most employees receive a guaranteed base salary, with the rest of their earnings based on commission. This means that your pay reflects your performance.

4. What does a typical working day look like, and what are the working hours?

Thailand is 6 hours ahead of Denmark, so you have plenty of time in the morning to enjoy your free time.

We start work at 2 p.m. Thai time (8 a.m. Danish time) and work until 10 p.m. Your working day varies depending on your role, and there are often social activities both before and after work.

5. Do I need to speak Thai?

You do not need to speak Thai. The most important thing is that you speak fluent Danish and can get by in English. Learning some Thai can make everyday life easier, but it is not a requirement.

Practical aspects of moving to and living in Thailand

1. How does moving to Thailand work, and do you help with accommodation, transport, and insurance?

We make your move to Thailand as easy as possible. We help you find accommodation for your first month and are also ready to assist with everything from insurance to scooter rental and a driving licence.

We also help with other practical matters, such as opening a bank account, so you can get off to a good start.

2. Where will I live, and what living costs can I expect?

For the first month, we offer you accommodation in a shared house. During that time, you can find your own apartment or house, and we have contacts who can help you.

Living costs in Thailand are significantly lower than in Denmark, so you can live comfortably for much less.

3. How do I get a visa?

The visa process always starts online, usually from Denmark or a neighbouring country.

When you are hired, we guide you through the entire process and help with the practicalities so you can complete it online with ease. We make sure you receive all the necessary documents, so you are well prepared and can quickly get started on your new adventure.

4. How does the healthcare system work, and what insurance do you offer?

Thailand has a well-functioning private healthcare system.

We contribute towards the cost of your health insurance, and we require you to take out a policy to ensure that you are covered in the event of illness or injury.

5. What is the climate like in Thailand, and how do you adapt to it?

Thailand has a tropical climate with warm temperatures all year round. It takes a little getting used to, but most people quickly learn how best to adapt to the heat – for example, by taking breaks in the shade, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding the hottest hours around midday. Many people appreciate the tropical climate after coming from grey and rainy Denmark.

6. What happens if I decide to return home early?

We expect you to work with us for at least 6 months, so you have time to receive proper training and settle into the role.

If unforeseen circumstances arise or you are unhappy, we will of course help you make suitable arrangements for your journey home.
